HISTORY

In January 2007, APL IndiaLinx signed a 20-year ‘Concession Agreement’ with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The Agreement enables IILPL to operate container trains across the entire Indian Railways network.

Operations commenced in May 2007 when the first train was operated between ICD Loni (20 Kms north – east of Delhi) to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port at Nhava Sheva (Mumbai). Over the years, APL-IndiaLinx has established efficient connectivity between Indian ports, and various hinterland ICDs, providing the crucial land coverage for EXIM cargo in India. IILPL currently operates 14 rakes with an annual capacity of around 150,000 TEU’s providing regular services from ICD’s in NCR to the ports of Mundra and Pipavav beside providing block train services for large customers and shipping lines both in EXIM and Domestic route.

In December 2014, APL-IndiaLinx became a wholly owned subsidiary of APL Logistics after buying out the minority shareholding of HIPE. In 2015 acquired APLL and thus Indialinx became member of KWE group and commenced independent journey under the brand name 'INDIALINX'
