APL Logistics Vascor Automotive

APL Logistics VASCOR Automotive is a Delhi-based third-party logistics specialist serving the automotive sector in India. Incorporated in 2012, the company is a joint venture of two of the most respected brands in international supply chain management and automotive logistics: APL Logistics and VASCOR.

In October 2013, APL Logistics VASCOR Automotive became the first 3PL to be licensed to operate automotive trains by the Indian Railways. Currently APL Logistics Vascor provides automotive solutions to various auto OEMs across India for domestic transportation of finished vehicles by introducing specialised auto rakes in Indian railway networks.

Our Infrastructure

  1. As a rail services company, IndiaLinx has maintained focus on development of rail capacity to service our customers, and to work on a partnership model to access the widest possible terminal network.
  2. At present, our primary wagon fleet consists of 14 BLCA type container trains, of which 2 are high capacity (69T axle load/wagon) trains and the balance 16 are conventional capacity (60 T axle load/wagon) trains.
  3. We operate a mix of owned and long term leased assets, and also take over short term leased assets on occasion to supplement peak demand.

Typical flatbed containerized rail freight transportation in India is done using BLC (Bogie Low Platform Containers) wagon types with below specifications :-
